Probably one the oldest disciplines that Maltby Land Surveys Ltd has been involved with is the measurement of profiles of inland waterways.

Utilising software developed by MBS Survey Software Ltd, we have pioneered the use of total stations in the capture of cross section data. GPS derived spatial data can now also be incorporated.

Since the early 1980s we have been delivering detailed survey reports and data to the Environment Agency, Consulting Engineers and River Modellers. In the last year MLS have been working in Ireland with the Office of Public Works providing them and their modeling consultants with cross section data for the catchments of both River Lee (Co.Cork) and River Suir (Co.Tipperary to Waterford).

The key to our success in this field is our unique ability, to adapt our procedures and continually improve the way we assess, capture, verify and deliver the data. Our developed Quality Assurance processes allows us to minimise errors and ensure a consistent high standard of output.
