HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS (Click here for some examples)
Hydrography is the science which deals with the measurement and description of the physical features of bodies of water and their littoral land areas.
At Maltby Land Surveys Ltd Hydrographic Survey supports a variety of activities including river profiling, flood risk assessment, port and harbour maintenance (dredging), coastal engineering (beach erosion and replenishment studies), as well as coastal zone management. The one data type common to all hydrographic surveys is the measurement of water depth. This is obtained by physically dipping, echo sounding (single or dual frequency) or even side scan sonar can be deployed to facilitate the detection of submerged dangers to navigation.
With our in-house software developers, presentation of such measured data can be specific to client requirements. ISIS / HECRAS / MIKE11 / TUFLOW / EEBY are all examples of existing outputs currently available.
